This walk started at the Dam wall, we crossed the dam and then followed a goat track up the steep hill. This track continued and transited a field before joining a larger track which took us round the reservoir.
There were some terrific views of the reservoir as we went round. The route took us through a river and then on to the abandoned village of Evretou on the waters edge, and then up away from the water, where it skimmed a goat farm just out of the village. Then it headed away from the reservoir.
It was some time before the reservoir was in view again when the track led us close to the water on the return leg.
